Blind Words

Acceptance is thrown around like candy

A wonderful treat and simple to eat

Just peel off the wrapper, open your mouth wide, and get ready to savor its sweet delight

Acceptance is a smooth rich caramel mixed with dark chocolate

Yet instead of the expected delicious treat

A sour taste fill the mouths of many

Acceptance is covered in dishonesty

The candy is hollow

The chocolate has rot

The caramel has hardened

Acceptance should not be a treat sought out by caution

Candy should not have to broken and inspected

It should be simple and warm and comforting

As acceptance should be

But sadly it is just a blind word with nothing to back it except the broken promises of millions
