Destined Ignorance

Calling out to her

Questioning if she could not

Or would not hear

Destined for this

It called louder and louder

Begging for her to listen

Until finally, it’s crying came out as a whimper

The soft murmuring for heed finally died out

It stayed watching as her back stayed turned

And she walked the other way

    1. In my mind it was the calling of the career she was meant to be in, but she turned away from it for a job with more stability and greater pay. But my favorite thing about poetry is that it can relate to each individual differently so make your own definition of it 🙂 Thanks for reading!
