The Art of Personal Connection

we have been taught that there is no need to interact

stare at the screen you always keep in front of your face, like a mask

scroll past pictures you’ve already seen of people you don’t even like

obsess over why her picture got more likes than yours

do anything to keep from having real face to face conversation

talking to someone live, and not just on a live stream, is our society’s biggest fear

social anxiety, depression, or just that sinking feeling that you don’t belong

It’s real

I’ve felt it myself

I’m not discrediting it

all I’m saying is we have lost an art

we have lost the art of pushing ourselves to make a connection

will we forever be lost behind the mask
